• Suspect in CCCU Robbery Identified

    On April 21, 2012, at about 11:38 AM, the Coast Central Credit Union at the Bayshore Mall was robbed. The suspect approached the teller and instructed the teller to give him the money in the till.

    The Eureka Police Department’s Criminal Investigative Section developed probable cause for the arrest of 31-year old Todd Wayne Harris. A warrant was issued for his arrest.



    On May 2, 2012 at about 11:30 p.m., The Fortuna Police Department received an anonymous tip that Harris had been seen in an apartment complex located in the 100 block of 12th Street, Fortuna. Acting on the information, officers responded and determined in which apartment Harris was located .
    Officers made contact with the resident and located Harris in a bedroom.

    “Upon contact, Harris was cooperative and was arrested without incident” said Sgt. Charles Ellebrecht. “With the assistance of the local media and concerned citizens, we were able to take Harris into custody.”

    Harris was interviewed by an investigator with the Eureka Police Department and transported to the Humboldt County Correctional Facility.

    Harris’ bail is currently set at $100,000.00.
